Mangaluru: Campus Front of India (CFI) protested in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District on Tuesday morning, They demanded a detailed probe into the unnatural deaths of Zaibunnisa, student of a residential school at K R Pet in Mandya district and Rachana, student of a college in Moodbidri.
The protesters expressed anger and concern over the increasing number of atrocities being inflicted on girl students over the years. The leaders demanded the government to take strict measures. CFI state President, Muhammed Tasveer, Dakshina Kannada District President, Muhammadu Athavullah, General Secretary, Imran PJ and Taluk General Secretary, Farhad addressed the protesters. They have also demanded an in-depth investigation into the deaths of both these students, and also payment of INR 50 lac compensation to each of these families.
