Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada Congress Committee(DCC) is all set to receive AICC (All India Congress Committee) President Rahul Gandhi at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), who will be touring the district as part of the “Janashirvada Yatre” convention at the Nehru Maidan on March 20.
Addressing a press meet at the District Congress Office, District In-charge Minister Ramanath Rai laid out Gandhi’s schedule starting from his arrival at the MIA in a special flight at around 11:30 AM. Gandhi will then take off towards Tenka Yermal, Udupi by chopper, where he will inaugurate the Rajiv Gandhi Political Institute (Sevadal Training Centre) and address the Sevadal workers in the afternoon.
Thereafter, Gandhi will hold a corner meeting in Padubidri along the Udupi-Mangaluru National Highway following which he will begin the rally with a roadshow from Mulki and address the gathering there followed by another address at Surathkal.
Gandhi will reach the Ambedkar Circle in the city in the evening where Congress the MLAs and ministers will receive him after which the AICC President will move towards the Nehru Maidan to address the convention.
After the convention, Gandhi will visit the Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple, Rosario Church and Ullal Durgha.
On March 21, Gandhi will hold a meeting with the block presidents of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, and the senior Congress leaders as well.
Gandhi will then take off to Shringeri in Chikkamagaluru district in a chopper.
